Sarah had a great birthday. She seemed truly happy at the end, which is all we really want, right? We had Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin pancakes for breakfast and her favorite kind of burritos for dinner. After attending Michael's school program we came home for presents and her choice of dessert -- pumpkin pie. This year was not a friend party year for Sarah. It was supposed to be a year that we took her and a couple of friends out somewhere like Chuck E. Cheeses or a movie or something like that. But Sarah had her heart set on having friends over for Halloween activities. So we compromised. We had her two best friends over Friday night to have dinner, carve pumpkins, and play Halloween games with our family. It turned out great. When the girls got tired of Halloween games (they'd also had their school parties that day) we pulled out Sweedeep's Restaurant. They loved the restaurant and getting to 'just play' together. It's great to have good friends.
