On October 10th Joanna turned 5! I can hardly believe that my youngest is 5. Joanna is so fun, bright, spunky, and independent. Joanna and I took advantage of her being home to go out to lunch together and decorate the house. During preschool before her birthday, the curriculum we are using for math suggested that we do potato print patterns. After we did potato print patterns, I let the girls print all over brown, mailing paper to make wrapping paper for some of Joanna's gifts. She also got to choose her cake flavor, frosting, decorations, and candles. She then decorated it all by herself. Joanna loved being involved in all the processes of her birthday as much as the birthday itself! I'm sure going to miss my little buddy when she heads off to school.
