It was pretty hard for our kids to distinguish between Cousin's Camp (which was all held at our house) and 'Going Camping with our Cousins.' The week after Cousins Camp we had other cousins come and go camping with us. We had a great time with them as well. Some of our favorite times and traditions as a family are our annual trips to Rocky Mountain National Park. Some year we'll all be old enough to try new -- longer -- hikes. But for now we love the tradition of Alberta Falls. This was our 6th consecutive year taking a picture at the falls around the sign.
We had a great time getting to know these cousins better too. We played games and hung out here at the house for some of the time and camped for 2 nights. My sister-in-law Diane was a real trooper to come camping with us. We camped July 12-14 and she had a baby TONIGHT (Congratulations!) August 31. Even though the baby is a little early, that's still a tough woman!
It was a wonderful summer to strengthen some of our extended family relationships. I hope that it's just a beginning.
