We got to know Elder Baldree very well while he was serving his mission here. He taught one of James's co-workers the lessons in our home which led to James's co-worker's baptism. While he was here, Hurricane Katrina all but destroyed his family's home and city (Pearlington, Mississippi). By the time Elder Baldree went home, we had a great friendship with him that has continued as he has become 'Andrew' to us instead. Well, Andrew met the love of his life in January and got married to Erin in the Baton Rouge temple on July 31st. We are so happy for them. For their honeymoon they decided to take a road trip from Mississippi to her parent's home in Oregon and back to Mississippi to live. On their way back from Oregon they stopped here for 4 days/3 nights. We had a great time together. One of those days was my birthday. It was fun to have friends here to celebrate with us. We played Pandemic our new favorite game that James got for me for my birthday. (A funny side note: I had already gotten that game for him for his birthday and had it tucked away just waiting! Yes it's that fun.) James bought me a cheesecake and toppings and other thoughtful gifts. It was a great birthday and a great visit.
