It's a Start . . .

We decided to plant seeds indoors this year. Our soil is so bad that it works much better if we start from plants than from seeds. We are getting our soil better by mixing things into it, and we are learning new tricks (like covering small seeds like carrots with burlap until they germinate), but it is still nice to get a jump start on our garden. And with plenty of leftover seeds around as well as cups and potting soil it was practically free -- right?!?

We are now debating a grow light to help them not get too leggy. We priced them at Lowe's last night on our date, but came home without one -- yet. I love gardening in the spring!
