Swimming!

We have 'joined' a community pool for the second year and are loving it. It was a slow start to the season as the pool was under construction and didn't open for an extra week, but now it is up and running and heated. It doesn't feel like summer much more than hanging out at the pool on a hot summer afternoon. The kids have completed their first session of lessons. They did better in them than I could have imagined! It has been a great way to kill summer days and the weather has cooperated.

Katherine has surpassed both James and me in swimming ability -- it's awesome!

When Michael is in the pool he is too busy to capture in a picture!

After a year of carefully keeping her head above water, Sarah has finally learned to do bobs and hold her head clear under the water for 3 seconds -- Wow!

Matthew has a ball in the kiddy pool, but he has scraped up the top of his feet terribly. It doesn't stop him, though, he keeps playing, "What time is it, Mr. Fox?"
Joanna loves being in the water. Especially if she has pitchers and cups to pour the
water from one thing to the next.
