Michael loves everything about being a scout. We were told at the scout store when I went to get Michael a pocket knife for his birthday that the boys don't 'officially' get to have pocket knives until they are a Bear and have learned knife safety. We decided to honor that and so Michael is looking forward to the time he is old enough. A few days ago it came up that when you hand a knife to someone the other person has to say "Thank You" before you let go of the knife so you know they have it. Michael has been very diligently practicing this whenever he passes anything or is passed anything at the dinner table so he'll be prepared when he comes of age.
