There are several posts that go chronologically before this one, but I thought I'd go ahead and put this one up. Every year for the last several years we have camped at Rocky Mountain National Park and have taken the hike up to Alberta Falls. We have taken a family picture at the top each year. It is fun to look back over the years and watch our family grow.
This year we haven't been able to find a time that we could go camping. It still might happen, but today we decided to drive up to the Park and take our traditional hike just in case it doesn't happen later.
Just before we headed out we found out from some friends that today was a 'FREE' day at the park. The positive side was that we didn't have to pay the $20 entrance fee. The negative was that we got to 'get away from it all' with so many other people that there was no where to park and the shuttle buses were overflowing. In the end it all worked out and we made it!
