End of Soccer Season

Yesterday was the end of the soccer season. I agreed to be the team "manager" this season which includes e-mail reminders for each practice and game, putting together the snack schedule, and taking care of all of the end of season stuff including coaches gifts, girls' gifts, etc.

It really wasn't a big deal, but I of course turned it into a much larger project than it needed to be. This team in the past has given the girls little matching hair bows or things instead of trophies like Michael's team did. I looked around for something cheap and cute that was kind of like that, but different. I found this site http://pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/2006/07/10/whiplash-challenge-water-bottle-carrier/ and ended up making these for the girls with water bottles in them. They were a big hit -- which was really nice.

Another mother took the 'formal' pictures and I took action shots and candids through the season and put together one of these for each of the girls. Can you tell which girl forgot to wear her uniform that day? Ah the beauty of Photoshop!

And then they each got a certificate like this that I put together in photoshop as well.

All combined the three things for each of the girls cost $3.50 or less each. It was a lot of fun and quite a lot of work.
