Temple Trip

Today was our stake's temple day.  We have worked hard for many years to make that day a special day for the entire family.  We usually make a family day out of it and take everyone down to the temple.  James and I swap sessions and have quality time with the kids in the meantime.  Today was extra special for us, though, because our ward's youth baptism time overlapped with our stake's temple day.  Since Michael was ordained a deacon 6 days ago, he and Katherine were both able to go in the temple and do baptisms for the dead.  What a gratifying time for us as parents to go down to the temple and see our two oldest children there ready to enter the House of the Lord.

It was a very small group compared to what our ward usually takes to the temple.  Instead of doing 8 names like normally happens, Michael got to do 24!
The girls "only" got to do 18, but it was still a great trip for Katherine and her friends.
It was fun to spend time with these three.  They helped me babysit three others so their parents could do a session.
Our beautiful Sarah!  She was a great help today and is diligently preparing herself to be ready to enter the temple someday.
